Musica Sacra Maastricht – concert walk

14-09-2017 - 15-09-2017, 06:30-21:00

Maastricht region

Have you ever wondered where the small river Jeker, running through Maastricht and pouring into the Maas, comes from? If so, join us to discover it! Enjoy one of the finest European music ensembles and the beautiful region of Maastricht!

Over a distance of 66 km a two-day walk leads from the source in Lens-St-Servais through the Jekervalley crossing villages like Oreye, Otrange, Rutten, Sluizen, Roclenge, Bassenge, Wonck, and Kanne to its ultimate destination Maastricht. For centuries the entire valley was under governance of the Prince Bishop of Liège. Musica Sacra Festival Maastricht joins forces with MoMeNT en B-Classic in Tongeren to organize this two days concert walk along the Jeker.
