Open Day: The Young Researchers

The Young Researchers (De Jonge Onderzoekers) Eindhoven (djoe) is holding its open house on Sunday, March 29th, for young people aged 10 to 18 years who want to embark on an adventure with technology and science.

There will be several free workshops for young tech enthusiasts to experiment with technology themselves.

For instance:

  • Build your own electronics circuit.
  • Solder an oscillator.
  • Build your own catamaran.
  • Become a programmer.
  • Experiment with a 3D pen or make your own keychain with a 3D printer.

And of course, you can take your own project home with you!

Supervisors and guides are available during the open day to show interested young people around with their parents and answer any questions about the diverse range of djoe:

  • computer technology
  • media
  • science (natural sciences)
  • electronics
  • mechanics and robotics
  • woodworking and metalworking
  • 3D printing

Everyone interested in technology and science is, of course, very welcome to the open day.

Founded in 1969 at the Evoluon, an initiative of Philips and DAF, the foundation was formally established in 1972. The djoe foundation is now a vibrant association for girls and boys who are enthusiastic about technology and want to do more with it. At djoe, our young researchers come from primary school and secondary school (VMBO, HAVO, and VWO). The diversity is great, and they all share the same passion for technology.
