Every two years in the autumn holiday (10-19 October), a special parade of curiosities enters Valkenswaard.
...we have been a biennial 10-day festival in Valkenswaard for the last 25 years. The festival is hosted in the autumn holidays and rests on two solid pillars: the exhibition of about a hundred unique scarecrow creations and an extensive festival program.
....we are there for everyone: both creators and spectators, young and old, music lovers and nature lovers, young talents and established artists, 'Valkenswirtse' locals and visitors from outside. And (almost) everything is free of charge.
....we offer an exuberant mix of diverse activities: music, theatre, cabaret, good food, children's activities, dance, sports, games, film, and nature.
....we wish to connect and surprise. We are playful, sometimes a little cheeky, and we can be a bit quirky too.
This edition, this unique free-entry festival especially invites internationals to join, participate or just visit.
