Volunteering can be a valuable way for international professionals to connect with the Dutch labour market by gaining practical experience, developing new skills, and building their professional network.
LEARN, GROW, AND NETWORK THROUGH VOLUNTEERING
Representatives from Gemeente Eindhoven will share insights into the importance and impact of volunteering in the Netherlands and introduce an app they’ve developed to make it easier for people to discover and access volunteering opportunities.
In addition, Expat Spouses Initiative (ESI) will introduce our upcoming volunteering project, explaining how it will work, how participants can get involved, and how volunteering can help expat spouses build connections, develop new skills, gain local experience, and contribute meaningfully to society.
By combining local knowledge, practical tools, and ESI’s own initiatives, the event aims to bridge the gap between expat spouses who want to contribute and the organisations and opportunities that welcome their involvement.

10:10 – 10:40 | The Power of Volunteering in the Netherlands: Gemeente Eindhoven representatives share insights into the volunteering landscape in the Netherlands.
10:40 – 11:00 | Discover the Volunteering App: Gemeente Eindhove will introduce their volunteering app and demonstrate how to use it.
11:00 – 11:30 | Introducing the ESI Volunteering Project: ESI presents its volunteering project.
11:30 – 11:50 | Questions and Interactive Discussion: Time for questions, share their interests, and discuss with representatives.
11:50 – 12:00 | Networking and Next Steps
