Workshop on loneliness and the built environment 6/11

We are looking for international participants to share their experiences and perspectives.

People walking and reading alone at the edge of a peaceful park with paths, benches and lots of greenery alongside a road with no cars.

Did you know that two in five Dutch people experience loneliness? Loneliness is not only influenced by personal circumstances or social networks, but also by the spaces where we live, work and spend our free time.

In the Space for Loneliness research, we explore how design can help create loneliness-friendly environments. Researchers from Fontys University Eindhoven Pauline van den Berg, Eric Schoenmakers and Evy de Kort would like to collaborate with you to talk about, and visualize with AI, environments that you are drawn to when you feel lonely.
