These elections are important because they influence decisions about your neighbourhood in the coming years. Even without a Dutch passport, you may be allowed to vote.
You may vote if:
- You were registered in your municipality on 2 February
- You are 18 years or older on 18 March 2026
- You are not excluded from voting in the Netherlands
- You have Dutch or EU nationality, or you have a non‑EU nationality and have lived legally in the Netherlands for at least 5 years
If you are allowed to vote, you should receive a letter from your municipality with your voting pass and instructions.
