We are performing a magnificent Baroque program featuring, among others, Pärt’s *Magnificat*, Handel’s *Dixit Dominus*, and Vivaldi’s *Gloria*.
As a special treat, the concert features the premiere of a newly composed "Ode to Eindhoven".
Ode to Eindhoven
The work "Ode to Eindhoven" by Gabriele Petouchoff—a composition student at the Tilburg Conservatory— was commissioned by the Eindhovens Kamerkoor. It features lyrics by Merel Morre, the former city poet of Eindhoven. We have also invited high school students in Eindhoven to investigate and experiment with the new piece and attend the concert. We hope to inspire them to perform this composition themselves.
With this special concert, we further aim to foster a shared cultural experience for expats, schools, and the general public in Eindhoven.
After the concert, all attendees are invited to the city church’s choir ambulatory to socialize over a drink and join the lyricist, the composer, and the performers. We hope this will provide an opportunity for a casual exchange of ideas and making new connections for all attendees.
