Talk: Courage in a Changing World - Bátorság a változó világban

Join us for an inspiring conversation with Al Ghaoui Hesna – journalist, former war correspondent, author, speaker, and media psychologist. She is the author of the internationally acclaimed book Fear Bravely (Félj bátran), which has also been published in Dutch. Growing up in a Hungarian–Syrian family and working in many different countries have given her a unique perspective on fear, courage, resilience, and the human ability to adapt.

For more than fifteen years, Hesna reported from conflict zones around the world. Through her personal experiences, professional journey, and research in psychology, neuroscience, and trauma, she explores how fear affects our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and decisions.

After the talk, there will be a book signing, followed by informal conversation circles organized with the Eindhoven Hungarian Kindergarten and School. These small-group discussions offer an opportunity to share personal stories, exchange experiences, meet people from different cultural backgrounds, and build meaningful connections within the international community living in the Netherlands.
