The Van Abbemuseum is undergoing a major transformation in 2026!
The museum is turning 90, and we’re celebrating with a new collection presentation, Collection as Cosmos, as well as a completely renewed Van Abbe café and ticketing area. Because of this, we will be renovating between 23 March and 5 June 2026.
In the autumn, we will also redesign the outdoor area to create a green space where nature and culture come together.
What can you see and when?
- From 16 April 2026: The exhibition Radically Mine! opens on 16 April at Salon Veneman (Tongelresestraat 1, Eindhoven) and will later travel to Eindhoven City Hall.
- 27 April – 1 May 2026: The entire museum is closed.
- 2 May – 5 June 2026: Only the Make Some Noise: Desire. Stage. Change. exhibition is open in the Old Building. The Van Abbe café is closed and temporary toilets are available. For this reason, the museum is free to visit during this period. You can enter via the old main entrance on Bilderdijklaan 10.
- From June 6 2026, a new collection presentation, Collection as Cosmos.
