Huygens was not only a diplomat and poet, but also a musician, art connoisseur and, as recently discovered recipes reveal, a passionate perfumer.
With music by Huygens himself and by contemporaries such as Monteverdi, Lanier and Lambert, soprano Lette Vos, speaker Ineke Huysman and lutenist Mike Fentross take the audience on a journey to the 17th century. Stories about Huygens’ life, his musical talent and the women who inspired him form the thread running through this surprising program.

La Sfera Armoniosa is a world-class Baroque ensemble known for its surprising and innovative programs. In addition to music by famous composers such as Monteverdi, Handel and Vivaldi, the ensemble also performs lesser-known works, carefully selected through extensive research in 17th- and 18th-century music prints and manuscripts.

Sunday afternoon from 14:00–15:00, with the option to enjoy a brunch beforehand at Brasserie Rita (available as an add-on when purchasing your ticket). Afterwards there will of course be time to stay for a pleasant drink.
The ticket price is €20. A multi-concert pass can also be used. If two people purchase tickets, the third ticket costs €1.
Parking is free in the DLL parking garage. If you show your parking ticket at the ticket desk, you will receive an exit ticket.
