Municipal mental health services (GGZ)
De Nederlandse ggz (Dutch Association of Mental Health and Addiction Care) is the sector organisation of specialist mental healthcare and addiction healthcare providers in the Netherlands. The aim of the ggz and its member organisations is to ensure the availability of high quality, accessible, affordable and sustainable mental healthcare.
GGz Eindhoven
GGzE offers various forms of help. GGzE will receive you by appointment at one of their locations, come to your home or offer you a temporary admission if necessary. A GP’s referral is required. You can contact them between on +31 (0)40 297 0170.
GGz Eindhoven Expat Poli
The Expat Poli department provides psychological treatment exclusively in English on an outpatient basis. They work in a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychologists, psychotherapists and psychiatrists.
English-speaking expatriate adults (18+) who have (temporarily) moved to the Netherlands due to work, study or relationship and who are suffering from psychological/psychiatric problems can contact the Expat Poli. A GP’s referral is required. Call +31 (0)40 297 3300
Children under 18
Children under the age of 18 with mental health problems can get help from Jeugd-GGZ (paediatric mental health services). They will need a referral from one of the following: your GP, a paediatrician, a medical specialist (such as a psychiatrist) or a care professional employed by or acting on behalf of your local authority.
