DigiD
DigiD stands for digital identity. You use your DigiD as a means of identification when dealing with government services and websites, such as educational institutions, healthcare organizations or your pension fund.
You can apply for and activate a DigiD online. You need to be registered in the Personal Records Database (BRP) and have a BSN in order to apply for a DigiD. You also need a mobile phone.
Register for MijnOverheid
MijnOverheid contains the information about you that is registered with the Dutch authorities. There is also a message box (Berichtenbox) where you can read messages from the Dutch authorities, such as a message from the Tax Administration informing you how much tax you need to pay. You can use your DigiD to log in to MijnOverheid.
